You searched: Bel Brands USA is making a major investment in Brookings, committing $200 million to expand its facility and double production of its iconic Babybel cheese. Production is increasing from about 1.5 million to 3 million cheeses per day — all made in Brookings, the only facility supplying Babybel cheese in the United States.
Marina Hendricks, associate professor in the ĢƵ School of Communication and Journalism, was named a Faculty Champion by the Center for Community News at the University of Vermont. She is the first faculty member in the state to receive the honor.

An SDSU team consisting of five sophomores and one freshman finished second in the Human Exploration Rover Challenge at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center near NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, April 10-11.
“In our first year of participating in the NASA HERC competition, we got second place in the remote-control division,” adviser and associate professor Todd Letcher said. First place went to the University of Alabama at Huntsville.
