Tiffany Niemann, M.S., MLS(ASCP)CM, is a Lecturer and Laboratory Coordinator in the Medical Laboratory Science Program at Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Science from Ä¢¹½¶ÌÊÓƵ in 2015 before completing her clinical training at Rapid City Regional Hospital. She then worked as a medical laboratory scientist at Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center in Sioux Falls before joining the SDSU Medical Laboratory Science Program in 2016. After earning her Master of Science in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida in 2020, she transitioned into a full-time instructional role.

Niemann teaches undergraduate courses in diagnostic microbiology and clinical chemistry, with experience across traditional, accelerated, and online program formats. Her teaching emphasizes helping students move beyond memorization by developing the critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills needed in today's clinical laboratory. In addition to teaching, she contributes to curriculum development, instructional design, and laboratory education initiatives that support student learning across the Medical Laboratory Science program.

Beyond the classroom, Niemann is actively engaged in professional service within the medical laboratory science community. She has served as a technical reviewer for Management and Leadership in the Clinical Laboratory by Mahon and Rentas, presented at the Clinical Laboratory Educators Conference (CLEC), and served as a reviewer for the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS). Her professional interests include advancing medical laboratory science education through innovative teaching, curriculum development, and educational technology.
